MISSIONS AREA MISSION STATEMENT FUMC'S GENERAL MISSION STATEMENT

To win as many people as possible to Jesus Christ, and to equip them to become mature disciples extending the kingdom of God on earth.

MISSIONS MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT

To glorify God and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and in deed in cross-cultural settings for the purpose of inviting persons into a wholly converting, sanctifying relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

VIM MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT

To train, assist and send FUMC members to cross cultural, language and geographical boundaries to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to strengthen or establish the Church in places beyond our church membership's immediate sphere of influence, and to minister to persons in cross-cultural settings in ways beyond merely humanitarian, philanthropic or benevolent expressions of human kindness to human need.

MISSIONS COUNCIL MISSION STATEMENT

To administrate FUMC's missions ministry in accordance with its missions ministry mission statement and to manage and to apply Faith Promise and designated mission funds for the personal support and ministry support of career missionaries, the financing of short-term mission (VIM) projects, and the recruitment, training and motivation of FUMC's member-participation in short-term cross-cultural mission projects and/or a career in cross-cultural missionary service.

MISSIONARY CANDIDATE TRAINING MISSION STATEMENT

To recruit, train and invite support of FUMC members who accept God's call into full-time career missionary service, and to assist these same persons in establishing working relationships with appropriate missionary sending/seconding ministries.
